Book Publications The BPS has published a substantial amount of books covering a wide range of Theravada Buddhist topics. BPS classics such as the Life of the Buddha, the Heart of Buddhist Meditation, Great Disciples of the Buddha, and so on, are included among our books. During the last years, the BPS has laid more emphasis on publishing books rather than small booklets, and we intend to combine some of our Wheel publications, such as ones having the same topic or ones made by the same author, and republish them as books. For the last year, the BPS has been busy digitalising, typesetting, and reprinting many of its publications that have gone out of print. We intend to digitalise most of our older publications and then make them available either as good quality printed books or as free online publications both in html and pdf formats. Eventually, all Wheel publications will be combined and republished as books. An online ordering catalogue is being created to enable our readers to order our printed books online through this website. In accordance with the distributing agreements we made with two of our distributors, readers living in North America should order through our distributor Pariyatti Books, while those living in the United Kingdom should order our books through our distributor Wisdom Books. Wheel Publications The Wheel is a substantial series of booklets covering a wide range of topics-from the Abhidhamma to Buddhist reflections on today's vital problems. The series also includes accurate annotated translations of the Buddha's discourses from the Pali Canon. Wheel booklets are 4.8" x 7.2". Though the material quality of issues published before 1987 is often sub-standard, the content itself is of great value and not easily available elsewhere. New issues of the Wheel Series are published when the circumstances permit. Bodhi Leaves Bodhi Leaves is a series of small handsize booklets, measuring 4.3" x 5.4" and ranging between 16 and 40 pages. Less expository and more conversational in tone than the Wheels, Bodhi Leaves offer personal insights into the Buddha's teaching, close-up focus on specific social and human problems, and practical guidelines on living by the light of the Dhamma. We have terminated the publication of Bodhi Leaves for the time being.
